Who is the app for?

The primary objective is to enhance visual impairment interventions using this innovative iPad tool, while fostering awareness about CVI and delivering educational content on the subject.</li>

What does it do?

<li>The application provides guidance to TVIs in working with students affected by Cortical Visual Impairment. It enables educators to introduce visually engaging activities to students and collect data, which can be utilized to enhance support strategies for visually impaired students.</li>

How does it work?

<li>By utilizing the front-facing camera of the iPad, the application assesses the child's responses during exercises, offering detailed insights. These expertly derived data points can be graphed and analyzed by educators to track progress over multiple sessions.</li>
<li>For instance, the system enables users to graph factors such as time spent per session and interaction frequency with sprite elements. This approach facilitates measuring improvements in visual acuity and enables teachers to tailor future lesson plans accordingly.</li>
<li>Besides tracking preferences and strengths in lessons, the CVI system leverages session data to autonomously generate optimized training sessions for students. By identifying commonly interacted areas on the iPad screen, it customizes lesson plans to focus attention on specific areas or redirect focus away from others, thus enhancing acuity. The system also adjusts session durations based on user averages to optimize training effectiveness.</li>
